Mark, great to hear from you! I sent you an email a few days ago inquiring about the transplant surgery, so I'm even happier to read this. I'm so glad they were able to do it. You have the perfect experience that helps you naturally shift your perspective. I'm wishing them both a strong and healthy recovery. Wishing you continued good health and looking forward to catching up when everything sorts itself out.

Hi Laura!

Very well said, as always And, no doubt about it, you are a true inspiration! Certainly what you have endured has without a doubt given your voice the ability to help so many.

My parents both have just gone through kidney transplant surgery. My dad was the recipient and my mom the donor. That in itself is extraordinary! They got through the surgery and are doing well.

They were literally the last transplant to be done, as here in Canada they are closing off live transplants for the foreseeable future!

So many people have said how “terrible” it is to have to go through this now! The truth is that my perspective tells me how truly blessed and fortunate we are that they were able to get this done at all! If anything it is a huge relief, even given the perilous environment that we are all now existing in.

Bottom line......we control what we can, and absolutely put our best efforts into the things where we can make a difference. I know I’m making a difference being here for my parents, and that reward far outweighs any anxiety about an environment that I cannot control.

Great topic Laura! This example immediately for my neurons firing! No question, perspective is everything!

All my best!
