Who would ever think leaving something you don’t enjoy would be so difficult? I was also SO worried about letting everyone else down. Sounds like you made a great move for yourself. I left a practice I owned for 5 years back in December. I made the decision about 4 months before that and have to say it was the hardest thing I have ever done….telling my great staff that I was leaving and then informing the patients. There is not a day that goes by that I am not so thankful that I was able to leave and move on to something I enjoy so much more. Many people still don’t understand how I could give up something so great…the American Dream, right?! I have enjoyed reading your blog. Thank you!
