Fantastic! I love driving. And I love road trips... whether it be up and down the entire East Coast (where I'm located), or using my relatives' homes in the Seattle area as a "home base", traveling in all directions from there (well, not TOO far west!). I've also made some incredible drives through Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Montana, California, and Illinois.

But actually, ANY road trip anywhere can be an amazing experience, if you are willing to allow it to be.

One gets an entirely different perspective when places are experienced at the ground level. Don't get me wrong -- I like flying too (for the most part) -- gazing down on the vast expanses of land from above, always amazed by how much of this country appears to remain so sparsely populated.

But there is something to be said about spending several hours in a car with a travel companion -- especially someone who holds a dear place in your life. There's nothing quite like being astounded by an unexpected and jaw-dropping vista that arises out of nowhere as you round a curve in the road. But it doesn't only need to be the scenic views that can make a trip worthwhile... it can be just as exciting to discover a hole-in-the-wall diner that serves the best turkey club sandwich you've ever tasted. And it's all the more meaningful when those experiences are shared with that special person.

They become memories which last forever.

It's also nice to feel that your daily life routine has been put on hold when you are on the road.

Ok, I need to check into everything The Miles Mentor has to offer.... like right this minute! The road is calling me.
