Oh yeah! It’s like you’ve earned credits! There was a time I was the workhorse, so it’s totally fair.
Regardless of the intentions for our career change, I think many people will question that. I always think they’re the crazy ones, but really, they just don’t understand. I believe life is too short to miss out on whatever it is we want. I love that last thing you said… less roots and more happiness! Look forward to hearing from you.

“He couldn’t stand to be around me that way”! Ha ha! Yes, I think that is the conclusion my husband is reaching. He’s had his ‘low income days’ and I was the workhorse, so turnabout is fair play ?
I know that our desire for change is a bit different and I’ve gotten a few, ‘Are you crazy??’ from some folks. And some days I think I am… ?
Money is the root of evil, but we all need some roots. I’m just ready to need less and have more happiness!

That’s a great question. Walking away from income was one of my biggest challenges. My husband did not understand it for a long time. I think he didn’t realize how unhappy I was. I’m not sure that level of unhappiness is the same for you, but either way, I think it’s great to create what you want. Once my husband started to understand how unhappy I was, he was willing to give up the income for a while in order for me to be happy. He actually encouraged me to change partly because he couldn’t stand to be around me that way. LOL. I was lucky… I think a lot of spouses are not supportive of these changes.
