I think it's good to review some of these things as we evolve with time. Sounds like you might be looking for some changes coming soon??

That's great for you, Ingrid! Amazing how these things can weigh us down so much that it can change who we are or want to be, and we keep going with it. Good for you for doing the right thing. I still think you should work on another project... that travel contest. I'm sure you'd have a blast with that. ;)

Thanks, Scott! Great to hear from you. That sounds like a tough work transition you had to make. It seems the 2 common factors in both auto repairs and dentistry is that we are both offering a service that the customer knows very little about and have to trust the pro because they have no other choice; and it's money they do NOT want to spend. While the majority are trustworthy (I assume that is also true in auto repair) there are a handful out there that give the whole field a bad name. I'm guessing that's why public perception is so rough. You might be surprised to know that even though we may not be well-liked by many, we are still in the top 10 (or maybe even 5) of the most trusted professionals!

I hope you at least enjoy what you do, and if you are doing great work, I'm sure there are a lot of customers that do appreciate what you do-- even if they don't admit it.
